We have been working on our proposed plan for three years.  During this time, we have regularly met with various stakeholders to collect input and continue to improve our project.  We met with the Montecito Association early on in our efforts and shared our plan with the group.  The Montecito Association gave us its support, even writing a letter supporting our plan.

Since giving us its support, the Montecito Association has changed its position regarding our project, issuing two subsequent letters retracting its support.  It is not clear to us what has prompted the Montecito Association to change its original position regarding our project, because our proposed plan has only improved - with compromises and further reductions being made - since originally obtaining the group's support.
